
ANNUAL MASS FOR THE FAITHFUL DEPARTED - WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 13, 2008.

Catholic Cemeteries - Archdiocese of Toronto wishes to invite all families within the Archdiocese of Toronto to participate in the Annual Mass for the Faithful Departed on Wednesday August 13, 2008 at 7:00 p.m.
Cemetery locations and Celebrants for this year’s Annual Mass are as follows:

IN THE EVENT OF RAIN:
Mass will be held in the mausoleum at Assumption, Holy Cross, Resurrection and Queen of Heaven. Christ the King Cemetery will celebrate Mass on site in the Reception Centre. Mount Hope to St . Monica’s Parish, 44 Broadway Avenue, Toronto. St. Mary’s Cemetery to St. Mary’s Parish, 65 Amelia Street, Barrie.

COME AND PRAY THE ROSARY
Join us to pray the Rosary Thursday evenings, May 1 to August 28, 2008.
We will gather in the mausoleum chapel at 7:00 pm.
The Rosary at Queen of Heaven Cemetery and Holy Cross Cemetery will be held on Saturday afternoons at 3:00 pm.

His Grace, Archbishop Thomas Collins, assisted by concelebrants from local parishes presided over the Annual Mass for the Faithful Departed at Holy Cross Cemetery on August 15, 2007. Catholic Cemeteries was also honoured to have His Grace preside over the solemn blessing of phase II of Holy Family Mausoleum.

OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION MAUSOLEUM PHASE V NOW OPEN

HIS HOLINESS POPE BENEDICT XVI RECOGNIZES THE DEDICATED EMPLOYEES OF CATHOLIC CEMETERIES
September 2005 marked the 150th anniversary of the Consecration of St. Michael's Cemetery in Toronto and also the beginning of Catholic Cemeteries - Archdiocese of Toronto. In honour of this special celebration we have obtained a Papal Blessing from His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI for "All the dedicated employees of Catholic Cemeteries".
