Originally meant to meet the needs of St. Mary's Parish, the cemetery has grown with the city and the Catholic Community to now also serve St. John Vianney parish, Holy Spirit parish and Our Lady of Grace parish in Angus and the surrounding area.

St. Mary's Cemetery, steeped in Barrie's past, is poised to serve Barrie's Catholics in the future.

St. Mary's Cemetery is centrally located on Sunnidale Road across from Sunnidale Park in Barrie.  A selection of burial services is available.

Cremation Columbaria
The cremation columbaria at St. Mary's Cemetery are granite structures with niches where urns with cremated remains may be placed.  A bronze plaque is attached to the niche to memorialize the deceased.  This area of the cemetery is peaceful and a place of prayer for our loved ones.

upright Monument lots
St. Mary's Cemetery offers a selection of ground interment options.  There are single and double grave lots which can accommodate upright monuments. Also available are shared monument lots whereby the monument has already been erected and the purchaser receives inscription rights to one side of the monument.

Flat Bronze Marker Graves
Another ground interment choice is a grave with a bronze marker (memorial) set flush to the ground with a granite base.  These flat bronze marker graves are located in Shrine Sections featuring beautiful religious statues amongst carefully maintained flower gardens.

Memorials and Vaults
St. Mary's Cemetery offers an extensive selection of memorials and interment products.  Memorials such as granite monuments can be purchased in various colours, styles and sizes.  Bronze markers give you the choice of personalizing the marker with a wide range of designs.  A selection of urns and vaults is also available for purchase.
