Assumption Catholic Cemetery is located at the intersection of Tomken Road and Derry Road in Mississauga. 

Over the last half of the century Toronto and vicinity became home to possibly the most diverse multi - cultural communities in the world.  Assumption Catholic Cemetery has become a distinct reflection of this cultural mosaic.  Consecrated in 1968, it has become

a continued sign of the hope in the Resurrection for a number of cultures in our community.

In 2004, a piece of the Catholic History of the Archdiocese was restored when the relocated site of Elmbank Cemetery, home for the areas Irish Pioneers for 100 years, was rededicated at Assumption Cemetery.

Linking the past with the present and future, Assumption Catholic Cemetery also boasts a new crematorium and reception centre, as well as our newly expanded Our Lady of Fatima Mausoleum.

Assumption Cemetery's office also cares for and administers Mount Peace Cemetery in Mississauga,  St. Mary's Cemetery in  Port Credit,  St. Mary's Cemetery in Brampton and St. Joseph's Cemetery in Streetsville.

Each of these satellite cemeteries hold their unique stories and place in our ongoing heritage.

A selection of burial services is available including mausoleum and cremation entombment as well as ground burial in monument lots, flat marker and cremation graves.

Our Lady of Fatima Mausoleum

Our Lady of Fatima Mausoleum offers a variety of entombment choices.  The granite crypts and niches as well as the glass front niches are available as single and double spaces.  The building has beautifully sculptured religious features, stained glass windows and is climate controlled.

In November 2005, a new chapter at Assumption Catholic Cemetery began with the blessing of Phase III of Our Lady of Fatima Mausoleum by Monsignor Terence D' Souza.  This new addition of over 1900 crypts has been constructed to continue to serve the needs of our Catholic families in the same dedicated way you have come to expect from your Catholic Cemeteries.  In Phase III we have added some new and special features.  It is wheelchair accessible and we are now able to provide fully accessible washrooms on both floors of the mausoleum.

Assumption Cemetery offers a selection of ground    

interment options.  There are single and double grave

lots which can accommodate upright monuments. Also 

available are shared monument lots whereby the monument has already been erected and the purchaser receives inscription rights to one side of the monument.

Flat Bronze Marker Graves
Another ground interment choice is a grave with a bronze marker (memorial) set flush to the ground with a granite base.  These flat bronze marker graves are located in Shrine sections featuring beautiful religious statues amongst carefully maintained flower gardens.

Memorials and Vaults
Assumption Cemetery offers an extensive selection of memorials and interment products.  Memorials such as granite monuments can be purchased in various colours, styles and sizes. Bronze markers give you the choice of personalizing the marker with a wide range of designs.  A selection of urns and vaults is also available for purchase.
