Catholic Cemeteries offer a comforting atmosphere in which our Catholic Faith is celebrated and love for family and friends is remembered. A selection of burial services is available including ground burial, mausoleum crypt entombment, cremation as well as monuments and markers.

Mass at Queen of Heaven Cemetery

Join us for the Celebration of Mass on the first Saturday of each month at 9:30 am. Mass will be held in St. Anthony’s Chapel on May 3, June 7, July 5, August 2, September 6, October 4, 2014.

Come and Pray the Rosary

Join us to pray the Rosary, Saturday afternoons at 3:00 PM from May 3 to August 30,2014 at the following cemeteries: Assumption, Holy Cross, Christ the King, Queen of Heaven and Resurrection.

Winter Wreath Removal

Typically families are asked to remove their winter wreaths from the cemetery by April 1, 2014. Due to weather conditions this year, we ask that wreaths be removed by April 6, 2014. All wreaths remaining after this date will be removed and disposed of. Please use care and caution when visiting the cemetery. At all times visitors should be aware of their personal surroundings and the condition of the grounds they are visiting. If you require assistance please visit/contact the cemetery office. Thank you for your cooperation.

Free Estate Planning Seminars

We will provide information about our Catholic traditions around burial, cremation and funerals, how to protect your loved ones with a proper Will, Power of Attorney, and the cost savings of making an estate plan.

An estate planning kit will be provided at no cost. Refreshments will be served.

Cemetery Gate Opening and Closing Times

The gates at Mount Hope Cemetery, Holy Cross Cemetery, Assumption Cemetery, Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Resurrection Cemetery, Christ the King Cemetery and St. Mary’s Cemetery (Barrie) are open from 8:30am to 7:00 pm for visitation effective March 9, 2014.

Please note that the Bayview Avenue pedestrian gate at Mount Hope Cemetery is opened at 8:30am and closed at 4:30pm.
