elevated 2qCHP It is with great sadness we mourn the passing of Rashad Messih on September 1, 2018 at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Nawal. Devoted father of Mary (Peter) and Lillian (Jeff). He will be lovingly remembered as Giddo by his 4 grandchildren Isabelle, Liam, Griffin and Zoe. A Prayer Service will be held at St. Mark’s Coptic Church 41 Glendinning Ave. Scarborough from 7 to 8 pm on Wednesday September 5, 2018. A Funeral Service to take place on Thursday September 6, 2018 at 12 noon also at St. Mark’s Coptic Church. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery 8361 Yonge St. Thornhill. In lieu of flowers, contributions to The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.

Rashad was one of a kind friend who is leaving a big void in our life. He fought a brave fight and was cheerful right to the end. A friend like him you do not often find and our hearts bleed with Nawal, the children, grandchildren and siblings. When thinking of him, one cannot but smile and for us, we are happy to have been called his friends and glad that our paths crossed for a long time in this life. Although we will grieve his death, we are so thankful that he lived.
Moushira & I offer our deepest condolences for the passing of Rashad. We share and express our heart-felt sorrow for your loss.
Rashad will be missed greatly and may God bless his Saul. We will always cherish the memory of Rashad and his lively outlook to life.

Those of us who knew Rashad, admired, respected, and loved him. He will be sorely missed and never forgotten.
He was one in a million !
Rashad will always be at the top of my memory as a friend, neighbor, and workmate. He brought joy to the table with humor. He brought insight with his mature thinking ability. He brought results with his work ethic. Tish and I cherish the hours of conversations we had with him and Nawal of which Rashad was always the able Facilitator. Family was almost his only priority. God put a wonderful human being on this earth in the form of Rashad. He will be missed.
